Hi! I’m Karen, aka Thatch Creative. I have a small empathy and encouragement shop designed to give you the words when there are no words. I know from first-hand experience that when someone’s physical, mental or emotional health is at an all-time low, sending or receiving a card saying ‘get well soon’ probably isn’t going to cut it. I wanted to produce cards that are empathetic to real situations: from a simple and honest “thank you”, to a way of telling someone that you’re thinking of them when they’re in pain and you don’t know what to say. It’s so much better to say something, than nothing. Whether cards; prints; stickers or notebooks, there is something in my shop for everyone, and every situation!
When I’m not running my little shop, I’m also a Freelance Creative and Comms Consultant, specialising in church and charity comms… and I’m a daughter, a sister, an auntie, a dog-mumma and a friend, which I value above everything else.

My shop is a mixture of cards, prints and gifts that reflect real-life situations, for the times when “get well soon” or “thinking of you” just isn’t good enough. All of my cards and prints are digitally and originally designed, printed on recycled card and filled with a whole lot of heart- you may find some sarcasm; you may also find some tenderness, you definitely WILL find real life.
